In Lysynychi, works are almost complete on creating a continuous pedestrian route from the outpatient clinic to the border with Lviv along a busy main road. The new step-free pavement has made this stretch of road significantly safer and more accessible for pedestrians.
As the community office in Lysynychi notes, the new footpath is used primarily by residents heading to the public transport stop for routes No. 23 and No. 18, as well as by parents with children on their way to school. Because of the large number of people walking along this road, local residents have repeatedly requested that a pavement be built here.
According to the head of the community office in Lysynychi, Andrii Shenhofer, the first stage of works began last year: a pedestrian path was laid from the community office on Shevchenka Street to the junction with Trakt Hlynyanskyi Street, and a shelter for waiting for public transport was installed.
This year, the pavement was extended from the public transport stop on Trakt Hlynyanskyi Street virtually to the border with Lviv, creating a continuous pedestrian route. All works are being carried out by a contractor commissioned by the Lychakiv District Administration. In the near future, they plan to complete several more square metres of surfacing to fully finish the project.
