On Monday, 25 November, repairs will begin on a part of Syayvo Street, at the exit from Horodotska Street, in the direction of the city centre.

The works will last for 4 days – until 28 November inclusive. During the works, bus routes and private transport will detour around the work site, and trolleybus No. 32 will not run. According to the Lviv City Council’s transport department, there will be no drastic changes in traffic – cars will go about 100 metres further along Horodotska Street and then turn onto Syayvo Street.
“In general, there will be no drastic changes in traffic for public transport passengers and private transport drivers. Public transport stops will not change. City bus routes (No. 20, 30, 34, 43, 49A), as well as private cars, will simply move about 100 metres further along Horodotska Street and then turn to Syayvo Street.
Instead, trolleybus No. 32 will not run for these 4 days, as trolleybuses will not be able to bypass the work site like bus routes due to the lack of a contact network,” the Lviv City Council’s transport department said.
As reported by the Zaliznychnyi District Administration, the roadway at the beginning of Siaivo Street, at the exit from Horodotska Street, from the centre (near the WOG petrol station), is covered with potholes and sagging, as this part of the street has not been overhauled for a long time, and potholes are only patched every spring.
As this section is an important link in the transport interchange – private and public transport runs here, and there is also an entrance to the fire station – the road base needs to be strengthened and new asphalt laid.
“We plan to replace the asphalt pavement and strengthen the road base on this section, as private and public transport, as well as fire trucks, run here.
The contractor will mill the existing road surface, correct the base profile with new material and lay a two-layer asphalt pavement. In total, a 3,650 m2 section will be repaired,” says the Zaliznychnyi District Administration.
