An upgrade is planned for the central park in Rudno, so residents are being asked to take part in a survey and share their ideas for developing the green space. This was reported by the Office for Agglomeration and Community Development of the Lviv City Council.
The survey concerns the park area on Hrushevskyi — Ohiienka — Ozerna streets. Residents are asked to share their vision for how the park should be laid out so that the space becomes more comfortable and functional. Based on the responses collected, they plan to prepare a concept for the park’s renewal and its visualisation.
The survey is organised by the State Enterprise “Sknyliv-park”, which is the responsible manager of this area. The next step after gathering proposals will be to consider submitting public investment projects funded from the local budget and through international assistance.
The city has recently completed all paperwork for this park: the plot has received official status, defined boundaries, a cadastral number and a responsible manager. The park is located in the central part of Rudno and is a transit area, as it connects residential quarters with the local school and is used daily by hundreds of children and adults.
The Lviv Community Office in Rudno notes that the area is in particular need of park infrastructure and well-maintained pedestrian alleys. According to them, at one time, in order to restrict vehicle access, entry to the park zone was blocked with special barriers. Local efforts have seen planting carried out here, community clean-up days organised, and there are also plans under consideration to create a space of remembrance within the park.
The survey on the future of the park can be completed until 27 June.
