New street lighting has appeared at the local cemetery in Rudne, located on Mazepy Street. Previously this area was not lit, which led to the emergence of an unofficial rubbish dump here.
According to the head of the Community Office in Rudne, Nataliia Ustymenko, to tackle the problem of improper waste disposal they also plan to install camera traps on the cemetery grounds. This will make it possible to identify those breaking public amenity rules, hold them accountable, and ensure cleaning and removal of the rubbish.
The lighting on Mazepy Street, as well as earlier at the stadium on Ohiienka Street, was installed as part of safety projects developed by the Community Office together with community officers. The equipment was installed by the municipal enterprise “Lvivsvitlo”.
