Over a kilometre of road laid in Selyshche to reach homes on Vesniana Street

In the village of Selyshche, more than a kilometre of road has been laid along Vesniana Street to the last houses, where a soldier, Roman, lives after losing a leg at the front. This was reported by the Solonka territorial community.

The person who initiated the request to arrange access for vehicles and pedestrians was the soldier’s mother, Mrs Maria. She asked for the road to be built because it is difficult for her son to get around after his injury.

Community representatives stated that the work has been completed, and now the homes at the far end of Vesniana Street can be reached via the new road. During a visit to the site, they hoped to meet Mrs Maria for a second time but, as they reported, the woman died over the Easter holidays.

It was the family’s neighbour, Mrs Olia, who came out to meet the community representatives and expressed her gratitude for the repair work carried out. The community stressed that it is important for them to help such families and to support those defending the country.

The statement paid tribute to the memory of Mrs Maria and thanked the soldier Roman for his sacrifice and for defending Ukraine.
