On 21 July, the Executive Committee of Sheptytska City Council adopted a decision approving the tariffs for funeral services provided by Municipal Enterprise “Komunalnyk”. The document sets out the list of works carried out by the enterprise and the procedure for the activities of other providers of such services within the community’s territory.
The list of funeral services provided by Municipal Enterprise “Komunalnyk” includes: drawing up a burial contract-order, issuing a burial certificate, digging graves by hand or mechanically in summer and winter (including lowering the coffin, backfilling, forming the mound and a one-off cleaning of the area), digging a grave for the burial of an urn with ashes, installation and dismantling of grave structures, as well as removal of waste after the installation of grave structures by third-party organisations.
The decision of the Executive Committee also stipulates that all entrepreneurs and organisations intending to work in the field of funeral services within the administrative territory of Sheptytska City Council are obliged to conclude an agreement with Municipal Enterprise “Komunalnyk” regarding the provision of these services.
A separate clause prohibits business entities from carrying out earthworks in cemeteries that are on the books of Municipal Enterprise “Komunalnyk” without written approval from the Executive Committee of Sheptytska City Council or from the municipal enterprise itself.
