Members of the executive committee of the Sheptytskyi City Council decided on the early termination of the agreement with LLC ‘Auto-Line’ regarding the servicing of bus routes No. 298 Sheptytskyi – Boryatyn, No. 299 Sheptytskyi – Ostriv, and No. 304 Sheptytskyi – Volsvyn. The decision was prompted by numerous complaints from residents about the carrier’s failure to adhere to schedules and routes, as reported by the Sheptytskyi City Council.
The company’s director, Andrii Turkolyak, explained that the route is unprofitable, and the company has sent a letter to terminate the transport contract. The executive committee now plans to announce a tender for a new carrier for the specified routes.
During the discussion, Boryatyn’s elder, Iryna Chipak, suggested combining the routes to Boryatyn and Ostriv so that one carrier would service them due to the current Boryatyn route’s unprofitability. The Deputy Mayor Marta Vashchuk noted that combining them could lead to negative consequences, as any issues on one of the directions could result in the termination of the contract for all routes.
As a result, the executive committee decided to hold two separate tenders: for servicing the routes Sheptytskyi – Boryatyn and Sheptytskyi – Ostriv, as well as Sheptytskyi – Volsvyn.
