At a session of the Slavske settlement council, a decision was taken to amend the Community Improvement Programme by adding the purchase of new containers for separate waste collection.
The updated programme provides for the purchase of yellow containers for plastic waste and green containers for glass. Each container will have information stickers showing residents what type of waste can be thrown into it.
As explained by the director of the municipal enterprise «Hromadske Hospodarstvo» Roman Yatsykovych, plastic in the community is currently collected in mesh bags, but the new containers should improve sorting and make waste collection points tidier.
At first, we will all have to get used to this format a little: to remember what exactly can be thrown into the yellow container and what into the green one. But it is precisely with such simple daily actions that change begins.
