Truskavets has introduced targeted financial support for defenders of Ukraine who are raising children with disabilities or a long-term serious illness. The basis for this was Decision No. 4232 of Truskavets City Council of 30 January 2025 on approving the procedure for providing such assistance for 2025–2027.
Defenders who are residents of the Truskavets community and are bringing up a child with a disability, as well as service personnel whose children suffer from a serious long-term illness, can receive a payment from the budget of the Truskavets community. To do so, they must apply to Truskavets City Council and provide medical records and other supporting documents.
The submitted documents are reviewed by a specially established commission under the executive committee of Truskavets City Council, chaired by Natalia Ponomarenko. On the basis of the decisions adopted by this commission, the Department of Social Protection and Healthcare of Truskavets City Council, headed by Vira Ilnytska, makes the targeted assistance payments. On 21 September, the commission held its regular meeting, at which it considered applications and awarded assistance to one of the defenders.
