A free Parenting School has started in the Velykomostivska territorial community for expectant parents and families with children under 3 years old.
The first meeting was attended by 25 participants along with their little ones, including parents from the NGO ‘Dovira 9’, who support families raising children with disabilities. “Healthy children are the healthy future of our community”, emphasized Olha Danylchuk, head of the child affairs service of the Velykomostivska City Council.
The first lecture was conducted by breastfeeding consultant Iryna Dubrovskaya. Participants discussed preparation for breastfeeding, its completion, realistic expectations, and the most common myths.
There are 3 more offline meetings and 4 online sessions awaiting all participants. The lecturers are evidence-based specialists: breastfeeding consultants, sleep and child nutrition experts, a psychologist, a pediatrician, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and a pediatric dentist.
