A new Resilience Centre has begun operating in the Velyki Mosty community – a space for support, mutual assistance and development for local residents. The facility is based in the town of Velyki Mosty at 5A Bazarna Street, in the premises of the former Administrative Services Centre (TsNAP).
The Centre has been set up to help people overcome life challenges, strengthen psychological resilience, receive social support and find resources for recovery and personal growth. Visitors will be offered specialist consultations, the opportunity to take part in training sessions, support groups and other useful activities.
The provider of social services in the community has been designated as the NGO “Development and Strategic Change Foundation”, which will henceforth work for residents of the Velyki Mosty community through this Centre.
The Resilience Centre team includes:
- Nadiia Andriiv – social manager;
- Olha Boiko – psychologist;
- Olena Pastyrnak – social work specialist;
- Mykola Lobur – social work specialist.
In the same premises, a specialist providing support to war veterans and demobilised persons will also receive visitors. He will provide advisory and information support to veterans, service personnel and their family members.
The Centre will also host a social hairdressing service for specific categories of the population. Residents of the community covered by the relevant programmes will be able to use its services free of charge or on preferential terms.
The community emphasises that the opening of such a space is an important step towards strengthening the system of social support. Here everyone will be able to count on help, understanding and support, as well as receive an impetus for recovery and development.
