Hydraulic testing begins in Lviv’s Zaliznychnyi district and the Riasne neighbourhood

In Lviv, from 16 June, hydraulic testing of the heating networks will begin in the Zaliznychnyi district and the Riasne neighbourhood. For the duration of the works, the supply of hot water in these areas will be temporarily suspended until approximately 30 June, Lviv municipal heating utility LМКП «Lvivteploenergo» has reported.

The company notes that the heating networks in the Zaliznychnyi district and Riasne have not yet undergone hydraulic testing, so residents have so far been receiving hot water as normal. During the tests, the technical condition, strength and reliability of the pipelines will be checked.

This year, the annual hydraulic testing of heating networks in Lviv began on 11 May. The first to be checked were the networks in the Sykhivskyi, Frankivskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and parts of the Lychakivskyi and Halytskyi districts, supplied from the city’s largest heat sources — CHP-1 and the “Pivnichna” heating plant.

The plan was to complete the testing and repair of identified defects in these districts by 17 June. However, a significant part of the work was completed ahead of schedule, and the hot water supply started to be restored as early as May. In particular, from 18 May hot water was supplied to 108 buildings in the Lychakivskyi district, from 21 May to 49 buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district, from 22 May to 9 buildings in the Sykhivskyi district, and on 30 May to 54 buildings in the Frankivskyi district.

From 4 June, hot water was restored to 10 buildings on Volodymyra Velykoho Street (buildings Nos. 61, 63, 65, 67, 69, 71, 73, 75, 79, 81), and from 5 June to 204 buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district on Chornovola Avenue and a number of streets, including Dzherelna, Sorochynska, Balzaka, Lypynskoho, Masaryka, Okunevskoho, Koshytsia, Sosnova, Tysova, Sosiury, Pancha, Varshavska, Vypasova, Pluzhnyka, Lypy, Pid Holosko, Shchepova, Torfiana, Khvylovoho, Mazepy, Pankivskoho, Tychyny, Zamarstynivska, Khmilova, Shpolianska, Selianska, Mykolaychuka, Lnyana, Hrinchenka, Khmelnytskoho, Stetsenka, Midna, Ochakivska and Chyhyrynska.

On 15 June, LМКП «Lvivteploenergo» also began restoring hot water supply to residents of the Sykhivskyi and Frankivskyi districts following the completion of hydraulic testing there.
