Four-lane traffic opens on reconstructed overpass in Zymna Voda on M-10 Lviv–Krakovets highway

🚧 In Zymna Voda, Lviv region, reconstruction of the overpass across the railway line on the international M-10 Lviv–Krakovets highway — part of the Western Bypass of Lviv — has been completed. This road connects Lviv to the key border checkpoint “Krakovets–Korczowa” on the EU frontier.

🔹 Over 30,000 vehicles use this bypass daily, with around one-third being heavy trucks, which puts additional pressure on road capacity and impacts travel safety and speed.

🚗 Following the reconstruction, traffic now flows in four lanes — two in each direction. This has significantly increased the road’s capacity, allowing up to 50,000 vehicles per day to pass through the upgraded section.

📏 Technical specifications of the overpass:

  • Total length: 75.8 meters

  • Approaches on both sides: 346 meters each

🛣️ This reconstruction is part of a broader infrastructure modernization initiative aimed at improving transport links to the EU border, which holds strategic importance for the region’s economy.
