In response to the threat of power outages, Ukrzaliznytsia has equipped 100 special carriages that will serve as autonomous heating and communication points.
These mobile hubs are equipped with heating systems, generators, Starlink terminals for uninterrupted internet, as well as essential household appliances. Four such units can be promptly deployed in the Lviv region.
Additionally, the carrier has a Food Train — an autonomous kitchen train capable of operating independently for 5–7 days and preparing over 10,000 food portions daily.
‘Local communities need to assess the need for such support for further coordination with Ukrzaliznytsia. For security reasons, the exact location of the carriages is not disclosed.’
