The Drohobych City Council has decided to name the area near the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in honor of Bishop Yulian Voronovsky.
\”Following the petition from Bishop Yaroslav Pryriz of the Sambir-Drohobych Diocese of the UGCC, it was named Bishop Yulian Voronovsky Square,\” announced the Drohobych City Council.
The initiative arose on the eve of the bishop’s 90th birthday. He was the first bishop of the Sambir-Drohobych Diocese and ordained over 200 clergymen. Thanks to his activities, Ukraine has its own saintly patrons.
