A healthy body has a healthy mind. The Drohobychska AH is implementing a sports project for schoolchildren – ‘Side by Side All-Ukrainian School Leagues’.
Thus, on 22 November, the second final stage of the volleyball competition among girls in grades 5-6 of the Drohobych community took place.
4 teams made it to the final stage: Lyceum No. 1 named after Ivan Franko, Drohobych Scientific Lyceum named after B. Lepkyi, Lyceum No. 14, and Lyceum No. 16 named after Y. Drohobych. These teams won the qualifying, initial stage of the competition.
Then, in the gymnasium of Lyceum №16 named after Yuriy Drohobych, the team of young winners was determined, which will continue to compete in the district stage of the competition.
The event started with a minute of remembrance and the Ukrainian anthem. Deputy Mayor for Humanitarian and Social Relations Yuriy Kushlyk, Head of the Education Department Petro Shevyak and Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the City Council Oksana Sotrykhina came to congratulate the young athletes. The officials wished the young athletes new achievements and further victories.
The sporting event culminated in the determination of the winners. The team of Lyceum No. 14 took the third place, the team of Drohobych Scientific Lyceum named after B. Lepkyi took the second place, and the team of Lyceum No. 16 became the winner of the second final stage of the volleyball competition among girls in grades 5-6.
The three finalist teams were presented with the relevant cups and certificates.
This is an important event not only for Andriy, but also for our entire community.
