On December 24, oil pollution of the Dniester River in the territory of the Lviv region was detected, due to the leakage of transformer oil in the territory of the village of Borodchitsy, Stryi district.
This was reported in the Department of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Lviv Regional State Administration
To eliminate the consequences, the forces of the Khodorov City Council installed 5 reed dams in the intra-household reclamation channel and the old channel of the Dniester River in order to contain the oil-oil substance and prevent it from entering the Dniester River.
The forces of the 2nd special rapid response center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine installed protective barriers in three places. More than 30 tons of oil-oil substance were pumped out. Work was carried out to clean up the Dniester River, which was polluted by oil products.
However, due to the change in weather conditions, oil products still got into the Dniester River.
The intensity of stains on the water surface of the Dniester River within the Zhuravno hydropost decreased from 8 points on December 24 to 4 points on December 28.
The state institution Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention carried out sanitary and hygienic quality control of drinking water from private wells in the village of Crane No excess of polluting substances was found, sanitary indicators are normal.
