The Concept of Integrated Hromada Development will be elaborated in Drohobych

Today, on 14 October, the first meeting of the Working Group on the elaboration of the Concept of Integrated Development of the territory of the Drohobych City Territorial Community took place.

The meeting was held in a mixed format – the members of the working group gathered in the Drohobych City Council chamber, and the work was accompanied by representatives of the UN-Habitat international programme, who coordinate the development of the Concept in the community, via video link.

During the meeting, Ihor Petranych, chairman of the working group, together with Volodymyr Kondziolka, director of the Drohobych City Institute, informed the participants about why the community needs the Integrated Development Concept and how it will affect the further spatial development of individual territories and the community as a whole. The participants were also introduced to the first developments – the decision of the Drohobych City Council session, the communication plan, the terms of reference and the developed questionnaire that will be used to collect proposals from the community residents.

The members of the working group approved a number of necessary decisions, appointed the secretary of the working group and decided to collect proposals from the community. To involve as many residents as possible in the development of the Integrated Development Concept, a questionnaire will be published on the website of the Drohobych City Council, and residents living in the villages of the community will be able to fill it out and submit proposals to the Concept in paper format.

The collection of proposals will last until 4 November. By December, the community should develop a preliminary draft of the Concept. The final document, which will include proposals from community residents and the work of the community working group, should be approved in February 2025.
