It is about the road connecting the settlements of Chervonograd and Rava-Ruska. In particular, road equipment works on the Belz – Rava-Ruska section.
The Highway Service in the Lviv region reported that several crews are working at the facility at the same time. In particular, repair work has begun on 5 artificial structures, storm sewers are being installed within the settlements of Belz, Korchiv, and Richka, tree felling and brush removal are being carried out, old asphalt is being cut near Belz in the direction of Rava-Ruska, and work has already been resumed on the construction of the road base clothes
“Already this year, a 5 km long damaged road surface was cut and work began on the construction of a foundation made of crushed stone and sand. In addition, work was carried out on the bridges to dismantle damaged elements and temporary detours were arranged,” the Highway Service noted.
Capital repair of the border road involves:
– repair and expansion of the carriageway;
– repair of artificial structures;
– roadside arrangements;
– provision of drainage;
– installation of storm drains, sidewalks, public transport stops, and lighting within settlements;
– organization of traffic.
According to the information of the Highway Service, as of today, road transport has been ensured in the lower layer of the asphalt concrete road covering over 14 km long from the Island in the direction of Belza.
As a reminder, the highway is being repaired as part of the international project “Development of border road infrastructure on approaches to checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border”.
