Mazepa Street in Lviv to Close for Repairs

To ensure comfortable travelling conditions in Lviv, intensive repair works on Mazepa Street will commence from 18 May. The section from Mykolaychuk Street to Orlyka Street will be completely closed to traffic, and road works will continue until the end of the year.

The Director of the Lviv City Council’s Department of Urban Mobility, Oleh Zabarilo, informed that this section will have its road surface replaced, overhead line poles relocated, the number of lanes increased, and parking spaces and cycle paths will be installed.

Due to the closure of part of the street, public transport routes will be altered. Buses No. 46 and No. 55a will bypass the closed section via Orlyka and Vira, Nadiya, Lyubov Streets, without stopping at St. Panteleimon’s Hospital. Buses No. 17 and No. 84 will run along Orlyka Street, returning via Vira, Nadiya, Lyubov Streets.

Other routes, such as No. 12, No. 34 and No. 51, will travel via Mazepa and Orlyka Streets, exiting onto Mazepa Street near the “Pluhova” stop. Temporary stops will be set up on Khvylovogo Street for the convenience of passengers during the repairs.

For drivers using private transport, alternative routes are available: Orlyka Street – Mykolaychuk Street; Tychyny Street – Khvylovogo Street. Goods vehicles should choose routes via Chornovola Avenue, Lypynskoho Street and Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Street.
