
At a regular session of Yavoriv City Council, councillors reallocated local budget funds, directing financing to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the education, medical, social, infrastructure and cultural-sport sectors. This was reported by Yavoriv City Council.
More than UAH 2.1 million was allocated to meet the needs of two military units, confirming that support for defenders remains one of the community’s key priorities.
In the field of education, co-financing was approved for an investment project to carry out major repairs of a basement to equip it as a shelter at Yavoriv School No. 3 named after Taras Shevchenko. Additional funds were directed to the capital repair of boiler houses at the Nahachiv and Smolyn schools, the purchase of a boiler for the Osyp Makovey Lyceum in Yavoriv, as well as for materials to repair the sports hall of the school in the village of Lyubyn.
In the medical and social sphere, funding was earmarked for the purchase and replacement of windows and doors in the rehabilitation unit in Nemyriv. This is the first stage of repairs to the unit’s second floor. Additional funds will also be directed to payments for residents who use the services of the Centre for the Provision of Social Services. In addition, UAH 13 million from the state budget has been transferred to the community budget for an investment project involving capital repairs to a residential property in the village of Vizhomlya to provide housing for internally displaced (evacuated) persons, and the session formally directed these funds towards the implementation of the project.
In the field of amenities and housing and communal services, funding was approved for repairs to premises to base the Krakivets voluntary fire brigade. A decision was also taken on the repair of the pavement with the installation of a car park and bus stop on Lvivska Street in Yavoriv (the section from the tax office to Kushpit Street), current repairs to two streets in the urban-type settlement of Krakivets, and the purchase of an auxiliary structure for the booster station on Marchenko Street.
For the development of sport, funds were allocated for the purchase of sports equipment for the Yavoriv Children and Youth Sports School and to support rural football. In addition, the installation of an urgent medical care point at the Yevhen Smuk Stadium will be financed in accordance with the requirements of the Ukrainian Association of Football.
In the field of culture, the budget provides for the purchase of stage costumes for the community’s creative groups, multimedia equipment for the People’s House in the village of Smolyn, as well as lawnmowers and trimmers for seven People’s Houses.
The session also approved the provision of a subvention to the Shevchenkiv community in Kharkiv Region, which is located close to the front line and requires additional support to ensure its viability. Yavoriv community has signed a memorandum of cooperation with it.
