The UNICEF Representation in Ukraine and the Social Service Center ‘Dzherelo’ have implemented a project in 21 communities of Lviv, Volyn, and Zakarpattia regions, aimed at building an integrated family support system with children.
The Stryi community participated in this project, where a Family Support Center with a day care unit for children with disabilities was opened.
These days, participants from Zakarpattia and Volyn visited Stryi to learn from the experience of implementing integrated social services.
A large ‘Forum for the Child’ took place in Lviv, where the Director of the Stryi Social Services Center, Oleksandra Dumyak, spoke about the development of social services in the community. *Ninke Woppen*, head of the Lviv Regional Office of UNICEF, presented the Stryi community with appreciation and a gift certificate for the partnership.
The final outcome of the project will be a meeting in Stryi next week.
