In Lviv, on Lychakivska Street, from Bukova Street to the city’s border with Vynnyky, work has begun on reinforcing the slopes alongside the road. From 19 March, reversible traffic with traffic light control is being introduced, as reported by the Lviv City Council.
Work is being done on the section from Bukova Street to reinforce retaining walls that were not previously planned. Last year, drainage works were completed. Weather permitting, work will commence on reinforcing the side of the road towards Vynnyky, specifically the slopes and pavements in landslide-prone areas.
The work is being carried out by “Avtomagistral-Pivden”, with the aid of heavy specialised equipment. Traffic will be regulated by the contractor’s safety service, and the total length of the roadworks is approximately 500 metres, closing off segments of 100-150 metres in stages. Drivers are urged to adhere to restrictions and plan routes in advance.
