From 22 October the 2026–2027 heating season will officially begin in the Drohobych community. The corresponding order was signed by the Mayor, Taras Kuchma.
The municipal enterprise Drohobychteploenergo will start supplying heat to residential buildings, educational institutions, medical facilities and other municipal sites. Connections will be carried out taking into account the readiness of heating systems and the receipt of applications from those responsible for the buildings.
The Drohobych Gas Supply Operation Department must remove the seals from boiler house inlet valves and other gas equipment required to launch the heat supply systems. At the same time, managers of multi-flat buildings, condominium associations (OSBB) and housing construction cooperatives are being urged to check internal engineering networks to ensure the stable operation of heating throughout the season.
During preparations for winter, particular attention has been paid to the energy resilience of boiler houses. Over the spring and summer, six boiler houses were equipped with electricity storage systems, and three of them were additionally fitted with solar panels. This will make it possible to maintain the operation of boiler houses in the event of power cuts: if necessary, they will be able to operate autonomously for about 4–5 hours.
The enterprise is continuing to install solar panels at other battery stations. The work is being carried out in-house with the support of the local budget and international donors.
The Drohobych community stresses that municipal services are preparing for a stable heating season, but the timely supply of heat to flats largely depends on the condition of internal networks in buildings. Therefore, managers and co-owners are urged to take a responsible approach to preparing heating systems in order to avoid problems with the supply of heat.
