The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office has detained a former official suspected of abuse of office. He is accused of manipulating insurance contracts.
*State funds are not a source of enrichment,* emphasized the prosecutor’s office. The former acting first vice president of SE “NAEC “Energoatom” signed an insurance contract for UAH 105.642 million and increased it to UAH 130.925 million without economic justification.
The fact of inflated cost has been confirmed by inspections, audits, and expertise. The service cost was inflated by UAH 18.6 million, leading to an outflow of funds from the strategic enterprise.
The investigation established a connection between PJSC “Prosto-Insurance” and Russian financial structures through Cypriot companies. The main owner of the company is LAVIDIA LIMITED from Cyprus, associated with the Russian holding “RESO”.
