In the period from March to April 2024, the department of the Carpathian Forestry Office of the SE “Forests of Ukraine” in the Lviv region planted more than 5 million 321 thousand new tree seedlings on an area of 718 hectares.
This result was achieved, in particular, thanks to a number of special actions – “Alley of Heroes of Ukraine”, “Shevchenko’s oaks unite Ukraine”, “Forests of defenders of Ukraine”, “Graduates of 2024 for future generations” and many others.
We will remind you that the President’s environmental campaign “Green Country” started in the summer of 2021 and provides for planting 1 billion trees in three years and increasing the area of forests by 1 million hectares in ten years.
