Preparations for the beginning of the winter period are in full swing in the Drohobychska hromada. According to Volodymyr Suda, head of the Municipal Management Service, current patching works on Zamkova Hora Square and Sportyvna Street are nearing completion.
In addition, the process of asphalting the roadway is underway on those sections of roads and streets where emergency and scheduled repairs were carried out the day before by the service of the Drohobychvodokanal utility.
At the same time, the city is monitoring the condition of the central roads to eliminate acute potholes and potholes before the start of the winter period.
As for the winter preparations, the Municipal Enterprise “SMU” has announced a tender for the purchase of sand and salt to be used for the roads and sidewalks in the city during the period of ice and frost.
According to Volodymyr Suda, the process of installing boxes with sand mixture will begin these days on the streets of the territorial community.
At the end of last week, two city fountains were prepared and preserved in Drohobych for the winter.
The process of preparing snowplows for winter has been completed. In total, this year, 11 units of equipment will be used by SMU employees to remove snow and treat roadways and sidewalks. Among them are a Bobcat mini loader for clearing sidewalks, two excavators, two MAZ trucks, two graders, sand spreaders, etc.
