
Zhovkva community has taken first place in the nationwide ranking of communities, the results of which were used to select participants for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026. This was announced following an assessment carried out by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
The ranking was compiled using a points-based system across five key areas. The assessment covered experience of international cooperation, the quality of strategic planning and the application of a place-based approach to development.
In addition, it took into account the community’s level of investment readiness, anti-corruption efforts, as well as participation in the “Plich-o-Plich: Zghurtovani hromady” (Side by Side: United Communities) initiative or in other forms of inter-municipal cooperation.
On the basis of these combined indicators, Zhovkva community emerged as the leading community in Ukraine in the selection for URC 2026. The community notes that this is the result of the daily work of the team and residents.
Representatives of Zhovkva community express their gratitude to the Vice Prime Minister for Ukraine’s Recovery – Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Minister Oleksii Riabikin and the experts for conducting the assessment and taking into account the community’s key indicators at the nationwide level. The community is preparing to represent Ukraine and Zhovkva district at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026.
