
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine announces the successful completion of three transplants at the Transplantology Center of the First Medical Association of Lviv.
Thanks to the consent of the family of the deceased 16-year-old young man, doctors were able to transplant donor organs and save the lives of three Ukrainians.
Details about each recipient:

15-year-old Diana (Ivano-Frankivsk)

Suffered from chronic kidney disease since age six.

Underwent hemodialysis in Lviv three times weekly.

Her previous kidney failed due to an autoimmune condition.

Her new kidney works well, and she can now drink a normal amount of fluids.

4-year-old Tikhon (Dnipro)

Has been on peritoneal dialysis for over three years.

Dreamed of living freely without a catheter and swimming in a pool.

With the kidney transplant, he can now enjoy childhood to its fullest.

31-year-old woman (autoimmune liver condition)

Received a donor liver.

She is recovering well and undergoing rehabilitation.

The 16-year-old teen was involved in a car accident last week. Despite doctors’ efforts, brain death was confirmed on the third day. His family, amid immense grief, made the courageous decision for posthumous organ donation — a heroic step that gave life to others.
