On 23 June, thunderstorms are expected across Lviv region and in the city of Lviv. This was reported by the Lviv Regional Centre for Hydrometeorology of Ukraine.
Rescuers urge residents to follow safety rules during a thunderstorm in order to reduce risks to life and health.
During a thunderstorm, it is recommended to avoid open areas, and not to stay near tall trees, power lines or bodies of water. You should not shelter under a solitary tree, as this is dangerous.
If bad weather catches you in a car, you are advised to stay inside and keep the windows tightly closed. It is also recommended to switch off electrical appliances or disconnect them from the mains.
In the event of an emergency, you must call 101.
