
In March, 51 babies were born at the Drohobych Maternity Hospital, including 24 boys and 26 girls. Among the newborns were six babies from families of internally displaced persons from Irpin, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions.
- In the first quarter of 2025, 168 children were born in the city: 72 boys and 96 girls.
- The city’s mayor, Taras Kuchma, along with family and youth department head Oleksandra Pashko, congratulates mothers weekly, giving support packages with essential items.
- The initiative was launched following the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.
Representatives from the authorities also communicate with medical staff and mothers, assessing the service level of the maternity department of KNP ‘Drohobych City Hospital No. 1’. Women absent during visits receive vouchers for obtaining the packages. Additionally, an open day for future mothers is planned – the event will be held on April 9 at 12:00.
