The Charity Foundation “With an Angel on the Shoulder” has donated a batch of tracheostomy tubes and urinary catheters to the clinic of orphan paediatrics and palliative care, essential for the daily care of seriously ill children.
The clinic treats children with severe neurological, neuromuscular and other diseases. Some patients require long-term respiratory support, so a tracheostomy is vital for them, and tracheostomy tubes must be replaced regularly and correctly selected in terms of size and type.
Urinary catheters also play an important role in caring for children in a critical condition, in particular for monitoring diuresis and assessing their overall wellbeing.
Medical staff emphasise that this support makes it possible to provide continuous and safe care, as well as to deliver the necessary medical assistance to children undergoing complex and prolonged treatment. The clinic staff expressed their gratitude to the Charity Foundation “With an Angel on the Shoulder” for its ongoing support of patients.
