Part of Lviv’s Shevchenkivskyi district without water due to hydrant breakdown

In Lviv’s Shevchenkivskyi district, the water supply to some buildings has been temporarily cut off due to damage to a fire hydrant on Mazepy Street. The incident occurred on 21 July, and repair crews from LMKP «Lvivvodokanal» are working on site; they plan to complete the repairs and restore the water supply by 17:00.

Consumers on Zhovkivska, Zamarstynivska, Lincolna, L’nyana, Khvylovoho, Selyanska, Kryvetskoho, and Kvitky Tsisyk streets, as well as on Mazepy Street in buildings No. 14, 15, 15a, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 25a, 25b, 25v, 25d, 25e, 26 and 26 building 1, have been left without water.

The company reported that once the emergency repair work is completed, they will flush and refill the water supply network. During this time, there may be a temporary deterioration in water quality, in particular discolouration due to rust as deposits are washed out of the pipes. After the network has been fully flushed, water quality indicators should return to normal.

«We apologise for the temporary inconvenience and thank you for your understanding», the municipal utility added.
