Children undergoing rehabilitation at the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre” will have the opportunity to attend Lviv preschool education institutions, socialise with their peers and take part in joint activities and games.
On 11 August, a working meeting was held at the Centre with the participation of the institution’s management and the heads of kindergartens No.18 and No.131. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate and signed the relevant agreements.
According to the arrangements, the Centre’s pupils will be able to attend these preschool institutions, take part in activities together with other children and develop their communication skills within a group. The institution emphasises that this form of interaction is an important part of the rehabilitation process.
The Centre’s psychologist Tetyana Shaforost stresses that taking part in the life of a children’s group helps children become more independent and self-confident.
“For the Centre’s children, going beyond their usual environment is an opportunity to meet new people, observe their peers, communicate, play and be part of a children’s group. Through everyday situations, social experience is formed: the child learns to interact, express themselves, take others’ opinions into account, cope with new situations and gradually become more independent,” noted the institution’s psychologist, Tetyana Shaforost.
