A US charity donates an operating microscope worth almost UAH 7 million to the Lviv Oblast Clinical Hospital

Thanks to the microscope, the hospital will be able to provide highly specialised ophthalmological care even better.

The US charity Eye Care For Ukraine, headed by Brian True, donated a new generation operating microscope worth almost UAH 7 million to the LOKL.

“Our first meeting and acquaintance took place back on 25 November 2022! And since then, we have felt real and very important help. From now on, thanks to Brian True and a team of like-minded people, the ophthalmology department of our hospital has a new generation Alcon operating microscope worth almost UAH 7 million,” says Mykhailo Hychka, Acting Director General of the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital.

Head of the ophthalmology department Oleksandra Pavliv notes that this state-of-the-art microscope will allow us to provide even more and better highly specialised ophthalmological care to our patients, and these will be not only residents of Lviv and the region, but also, above all, our defenders and IDPs.

“Such a gift, an ophthalmic microscope, is a unique technology for excellent visualisation for any type of ophthalmic surgery: ILLUMIN-i technology provides 6x magnification, high stability of the red zone of the reflector and a great depth of focus,” added Pavliv.
