According to data from 2025, Drohobych has emerged as a leader in Ukraine’s interventional cardiology, ranking 7th in the number of stent procedures for acute coronary syndrome. This achievement underscores the efforts of the local medical field and the successful implementation of medical reforms.
The information about the city’s high recognition was confirmed by the former Deputy Minister of Health Roman Ilyk and the head of the respective department Vasyl Romanyak. He noted that over 7 years, the team has achieved significant success, making the hospital officially recognised as one of the leaders in the field.
“These results are not just numbers, but lives saved, the trust of patients, and the daily work of the team, for which I sincerely thank everyone,” said Vasyl Romanyak.
The achievements were also highlighted by the city mayor Taras Kuchma, who emphasised the importance of developing the medical sector to improve the quality of life for residents.
