St. Nicholas Children’s Hospital received state-of-the-art equipment from Italian benefactors. These are three ventilators, a portable ultrasound machine, and an anesthetic breathing machine.
One of the ventilators is portable. Hospital specialists will use this device when transporting small patients between medical facilities. The other two devices are necessary for high-frequency lung ventilation and CPAP ventilation.
A mobile ultrasound machine will allow children to be examined in any convenient place.
Also, as part of the assistance provided, one of the Italian professors gave a lecture to the doctors about modern strategies of lung ventilation in premature babies.
