In the first half of 2026, one of Ukraine’s children’s medical centres topped the national ranking for the number of kidney transplants performed in children. The institution reports that in this indicator it ranked first among all paediatric centres in the country.
The medical centre emphasises that transplantation in Ukraine continues to develop, and the growing number of operations is giving an ever-increasing number of young patients the chance of a full life.
Representatives of the institution expressed their gratitude to the families of donors for agreeing to posthumous donation, which has become a “priceless gift of life” for the child recipients. They also extended special thanks to the patients’ parents for their trust in the medical team.
The centre stresses that the results achieved have been made possible thanks to the professionalism and daily work of the medical staff, who provide children with access to modern treatment methods and a chance of a healthy future.
