French maxillofacial surgeon Pierre Corr has completed his third mission at the Children’s Medical Centre, where, together with the local medical team, he carried out a series of complex operations and consultations.
During this mission, the specialist operated on five children, and a further 25 young patients with complex clinical cases received consultations from him. The work was carried out in close cooperation with Ukrainian doctors at the Centre.
The interventions included unique reconstructive surgeries. In particular, the medical team created a new lower jaw structure using the patient’s own ribs, which made it possible to restore lost functions and improve the child’s quality of life.
More about the course of Professor Pierre Corr’s third mission, the teamwork involved and its results was featured in a report by the Pravda TUT (PravdaTUT Lviv) TV channel.
