From 23 to 25 August, the Okhmatdyt Children's Medical Centre hospital in Lviv will host leading French specialist Pierre Corre (Pierre Corre), a paediatric maxillofacial, craniofacial and orthognathic surgeon at Nantes University Hospital (France). Together with Ukrainian colleagues, he will be consulting and operating on children with complex pathologies of the maxillofacial area.
Professor Pierre Corre specialises in treating cleft lip and palate, complex congenital facial malformations, pathologies of the salivary glands, as well as deformities and other severe lesions of the maxillofacial region. Nantes University Hospital, where he works, is one of France's leading medical centres, combining highly specialised surgery with modern technologies and scientific developments.
Over three days in Lviv, the professor and a team of Ukrainian doctors will hold consultations, after which patients will be selected for joint surgical interventions. Children are being invited with diagnoses such as cleft lip and/or palate (including after previous operations), consequences of injuries and wounds to the maxillofacial area, various congenital facial malformations and other complex conditions affecting this region.
Consultations will take place on 23 August from 13:00 at the Okhmatdyt Children's Medical Centre hospital at: Lviv, 31 Lysenko Street. Operations are scheduled for 24–25 August.
