The day before, on the day of the great martyr and healer Panteleimon, the head of the surgery center of the St. Panteleimon hospital and the honored doctor of Ukraine Andriy Hotsulenko received an award for professionalism and mercy – the “Order of St. Panteleimon”.
As noted in the First Medical Association of Lviv, this is the highest public award, which has a professional orientation. It is awarded for significant results in the field of health care, as well as in the spiritual and physical development of Ukrainian society.
This year, the award had only one nomination – “For selfless service to the Ukrainian people, courage and steadfastness in the fight for the health of Ukrainians, for the freedom and independence of Ukraine in the war with the Russian aggressor.”
It should be noted that the public award for professionalism and charity “Order of Saint Panteleimon” was launched in Ukraine in 2017. It was then that the first celebrations were held in Kyiv to celebrate the best doctors of Ukraine. In general, this distinction is awarded in 5 nominations: “The best doctor”; “The best medical worker”; “Innovator of health care”; “For achievements in international cooperation in health care”; “A model of service to society.”
