Lviv Region Receives 100 Beds for Children’s Hospital

In the Lviv Region, the Clinical Centre of Children’s Medicine received 111 special folding beds, allowing parents to stay close to their children during treatment. This is part of an initiative to provide a total of 126 such beds to medical institutions in the area.

The project was implemented thanks to Ronald McDonald House Charity Ukraine in collaboration with the Religious Council of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ukraine. The Deputy Head of Lviv Regional Council, Yuriy Kholod, expressed gratitude to everyone supporting children’s hospitals, pointing out that this is a question of humanity and supporting families in tough times.

Lviv Region became the first region in Ukraine where such a programme is being implemented. The plan is to distribute 1,400 beds in 46 children’s hospitals throughout the country. Acting Director General of the Children’s Medicine Centre Bohdan Malovany emphasised the importance of parental presence for the emotional support of children.
