Lviv Newborn Twins Born on New Year’s Successfully Returned Home from Hospital

In Lviv, twin boys who were born in the first moments of the new year 2025 were successfully discharged from the hospital after two weeks of treatment. These newborns became the first residents of Lviv in the New Year and have already captured the hearts of many.

Oksana and Vadym, the parents of the boys, a military couple, are overjoyed with their double happiness. After meeting in service and getting married four years ago, they eagerly awaited the arrival of their little ones. However, the pregnancy was complicated and ended abruptly at the 34th week, necessitating an urgent hospitalization at St. Anne’s Hospital in Lviv, where a cesarean section was performed.

A Double Miracle on New Year

The first to be born at 03:55 was Matviy, followed by Tymofiy. Each of the boys weighed under 2500 g, which they overcame in their first hours of life. However, medical complications arose immediately, including atonic bleeding in the mother, which the doctors were able to stabilize quickly.

The boys were then transferred to the Children’s Hospital of St. Nicholas, where Matviy experienced a stage of apnea – a temporary cessation of breathing, and Tymofiy was hospitalized with a threat of infection. Here they were treated for infections for another two weeks and monitored closely.

Now, returning home, the parents rejoice in the health of their sons and thank all the doctors for their unwavering dedication and professionalism. Oksana shared: “The doctors did everything possible to ensure our sons entered this world healthy, and I cannot express how grateful I am to them.”
