Lviv doctors have successfully removed a giant liver tumor from a 56-year-old woman from Kharkiv.
The patient was diagnosed with a 10-centimeter hemangioma, which is a benign tumor. Typically, such formations do not pose a health threat, but in this case, the size of the tumor required urgent intervention. The woman approached Lviv specialists after a long search for a minimally invasive surgery method.
“The team of doctors reassured me, explained everything in detail, and outlined possible risks,” – said Ms. Alla. The surgery was performed laparoscopically through five small incisions, allowing for a quick recovery. Within a few hours, the patient could walk independently and was discharged on the fifth day.
