Lviv doctors successfully operated on a 29-year-old woman with oncology for the second time

At the age of 29, Maria is fighting cancer for the second time. First, oncology affected the intestines, and now the stomach. Doctors of the First Medical Association of Lviv operated on the girl for the second time, and now she is feeling better.

Two years ago, Maria turned to the specialists of the St. Panteleimon Hospital of the First TMO with stomach pains. After a complete examination, the doctors diagnosed acute intestinal obstruction caused by an intestinal neoplasm. Doctors removed the tumor with initial restoration of the continuity of the intestine, and as a result, the girl received chemotherapy treatment.

Maria followed all the recommendations of oncologists and underwent regular examinations. But a year later, a stomach neoplasm was discovered on a routine CT scan. It was another malignant tumor that affected the body of a young girl.

Specialists of the II surgical department of the Center of Surgery, its head Andrii Gotsulenko, Serhii Sheremeta, head of the department, oncologist Volodymyr Saukh and anesthesiologist Oleksandr Maksimov performed the intervention. The operation was complicated by tumor growth in other organs of the abdominal cavity. The surgeons removed part of the stomach with the neoplasm, part of the pancreas, duodenum, gall bladder, and part of the colon, to which the tumor had spread.

Everything went well. For six days, Maria was in the intensive care and intensive care unit under the close supervision of Khrystyna Orlynska, Olena Chupyk and a team of anesthesiologists who worked to save her life 24/7. Recovery and further treatment continued for two weeks in the II surgery department of the Surgery Center.

Maria is now feeling better and thanks the doctors for saving her life twice. Although the girl still has a long treatment ahead of her, she does not lose her optimism. He says that he will fight, because life is beautiful.

Doctors emphasize: do not ignore the symptoms of the disease and undergo medical examinations. After all, timely diagnosis saves lives.
