Lviv Doctors Save Local Man’s Life After Aneurysm Incident

In Lviv, thanks to the professional actions of the doctors, it was possible to save a 56-year-old man who almost lost his life due to a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Despite the critical condition, doctors at St. Luke’s Hospital performed endovascular prosthetics. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.

Mykhailo Kovch has been living with an aneurysm since 2012. In January, his blood pressure suddenly spiked, and he lost consciousness. The ambulance brought him to the hospital in a critical condition.

Doctors discovered that one of the arterial walls had torn, creating a dangerous false channel. Therefore, an endovascular procedure was conducted, where a stent-graft was placed through a minimally invasive access.

After successful treatment, Mykhailo assures he will no longer neglect his health. Doctors remind of the importance of regular check-ups, especially for those with high blood pressure.
