Lviv Hospital Introduced a New Tumor Treatment Method

The Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed Named After Yuri Lypa has introduced a new method for treating tumors.

Now they conduct transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) – a minimally invasive intervention used for treating tumors, most frequently in the liver. “TACE (Trans Arterial Chemo Embolization) is a procedure that involves the introduction of chemotherapy drugs and embolization agents directly into the arteries feeding the tumor. This helps reduce its size and block blood supply”, the medical facility notes.
