Lviv Medical College Opened an Innovative Simulation Center
The most advanced simulation center in Ukraine has started operating at the Lviv Medical College of Postgraduate Education! Here, students can practice skills in conditions as close to reality as possible: in the operating room, the training resource center, obstetric modeling laboratories, and other training facilities. The center is equipped with innovative mannequins that closely resemble real people.
Support and Funding
Importantly, the college instructors continuously work on their development as well, with six of them undergoing training in Warsaw with the support of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.
- In 2024, 4 million UAH from the regional budget were allocated for the college’s development and the purchase of medical equipment for the educational process.
- Moreover, over 8 million UAH were directed towards acquiring an audiovisual complex for the simulation center.
- The college also self-financed 7 million UAH.
The college has already prepared more than 4,000 nurses, about a thousand pharmacists, and has advanced the qualifications of approximately 150,000 junior medical and pharmaceutical specialists and nurse-bachelors.
Important Changes in Nursing Education
Thank you to the director, Lesia Vovk, for not giving up four years ago when the college was left without premises; you maintained the staff, preserved the educational institution, and created modern conditions for students. We are proud that you are among those helping to implement important changes in nursing education at the state level!
Together with the Minister of Health, Viktor Lyashko, we agreed that Lviv region will become the first region where a nursing care hospital will operate. We are starting to look for a location for such a medical facility. We greatly rely on the professionalism and vast experience of Ms. Lesia and her team!
