Okhmatdyt launches mission to help children with cleft lips and palates
On May 18, at the Children’s Medicine Center, the ‘Okhmatdyt’ hospital launches the 8th mission ‘Re: Сonstruction Kids’ to help children from 0 to 18 years old. The medical facility will host 12 of the best specialists in cleft lips and palates from the USA.
“Treatment of cleft lips and palates is not just an operation. It’s a whole range of activities that will help the child grow and develop, eat and speak fully. This time, Lviv specialists will work not only with surgeons but also with a speech therapist specializing in post-operative face area recovery, an orthodontist developing treatment methods for the dentoalveolar system after reconstructive interventions, and a Christian psychologist helping the family,” noted at OKHMATDYT.
Invitations for children with pathologies
- cleft lips and palates, congenital developmental defects;
- deformations of the facial skeleton;
- speech impairments after cleft palate correction.
All consultations and surgeries are free of charge! The mission will last until May 23. The mission ‘Re: Сonstruction Kids’ became possible thanks to the American medical organization LEAP Global Missions, Christian Medical Association, and Razom for Ukraine.
