
In May, the Lviv Regional Center of Emergency Medical Care transferred 60 Ukrainians abroad for treatment.
The municipal non-commercial enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council, ‘Lviv Regional Center of Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine,’ transported 60 patients and 15 accompanying individuals for treatment abroad during May as part of medivacs. 44 Ukrainians returned home after treatment and rehabilitation. Throughout the month, 12 evacuation requests and 38 repatriation requests were processed.
‘The Lviv Regional Center of Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine is the only institution in the country that conducts medical evacuations to European clinics for civilian and military injured individuals. Medical evacuations abroad are conducted with co-financing from the European Commission in cooperation with the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine,’ reported in the emergency service.
